New Zealand - west coast

The west coast of New Zealand’s south island is rugged and remote. (Even more remote in the bits we didn’t visit, the southwest (Fiordland) and northwest.) Although we spent barely two half-days of driving up the coast, we stopped a few times at some especially beautiful places.
