Jaipur is a bustling city, the site of a 1,000-year-old dynasty of Hindu kings with impressively preserved forts, palaces, and fortifications. The same family has ruled for 40 generations. We visited the famous sights like the Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, and Jal Mahal, and saw local crafts like gemstones, hand-loomed carpets, and block-printed textiles.
