Kerala backwaters
The “backwaters” of Kerala are a network of brackish lagoons, lakes, and canals in the lowcountry of Kerala. Over centuries people have dredged out rice paddies and villages, leaving a network of canals. Today, converted rice barges carry tourists on overnight tours.
