Carr March

We climbed Mount Carr on a brilliantly sunny mid-March day. The lower slopes were free of snow, but overnight cold created a fresh skim of ice on puddles and streams. The upper slopes held a crusty but shallow snowpack, and rippled ice floes. From the summit we had crystal-clear views of Moosilauke, Franconia Ridge, and the Presidential Range.
